Why is Denver Such a Popular Place to Live?

In Denver, small-town charm meets big-city amenities, offering a distinct mountain west life style to residents - not to mention the breath taking views of the Rocky Mountains! Located one mile above sea level, the "Mile-High City" - and the surrounding area - is home to over 2.4 million people, making it Colorado's most populous area. Defined by inspiring scenery, Denver provides a refreshing atmosphere that welcomes residents, both old and new, on a daily basis.

With 300 days of sunshine a year, staying active is a priority among the population, which explains why Denver is one of the fittest cities in America. The area provides plenty of parks and open space to enjoy the great outdoors, whether you are taking a nature hike in the mountains, playing a round of golf, or skiing down one of the many ski resorts close to town.

Neighborly communities make the Denver area a great place to raise a family. Excellent educational opportunities combined with low crime rates create positive growth and productivity within the community. With plenty to do throughout the area, everyone in the family will find something of interest - whether it's shopping downtown in LoDo, a visit to one of the many museums or enjoying a game played by one of the four major professional sports teams that call Denver home.

The dry climate and four seasons are also a big attraction, offering great golfing and skiing weather. Denver also has a very large park system that spans over 200 parks and 20,000 acres. Just follow the links to find out more and begin your search today!

Denver #4 Where Homes Are Selling the Fastest
With inventories shrinking nationwide and hovering at historic lows, homes are selling faster in many parts of the country. "Lower inventories, combined with somewhat higher median list prices, suggest that the housing market ending with the 2012 home-buying season is in better shape than it was a year ago," according to a Realtor.com release. Denver made the list at #4 with a median housing inventory age of 40 days.

The streak continues for metro Denver home sale prices: 16 months in a row of year-over-year price increases, according to the CoreLogic Inc.'s home price index report Tuesday.  If you wanted to sell your Denver home before, but couldn't afford to, now may be the time.  Contact us for a free market estimate of your home's value.

Those prices for the Denver-Aurora-Broomfield area (which does not include Boulder County) grew 9.9 percent in May 2013 compared to the same month a year earlier.
